AGAWAM – Norma (Longley) Tower, 76, sadly passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2021.  She was born in Springfield on Nov. 15, 1944 to the late Charles and Alice (Bailey) Longley. Norma was a 1962 graduate of West Springfield High School and was active in the Rainbow Girls in her teenage years.  She went on to get a Business Degree at Northampton Commercial College.  Norma married the love of her life, Donald "Jud" Tower to whom she was married for fifty-six years.  They resided in New Hampshire and Massachusetts before moving to Weston, Vermont where she was the Postmaster. After her retirement, she and Donald moved to Florida.  Family meant so much to Norma, whether it was playing cards, baking cookies, camping, traveling, shopping, offering advice as the "nurse of the family", and giving her undivided attention to you.  She always put others before herself.  She leaves her husband, Jud, two daughters and their husbands, Carolyn and Greg Lindsay of East Longmeadow, Kimberly and George Kostelis of Burlington, CT, a son and his wife, David and Rebecca Tower of Northfield, MA, five grandchildren, Nathan, Corina, Alyse, Demitri, Xander and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Ronald Longley and Nelson Longley. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 745 Cooper Street from 3-5pm.  The funeral and burial will be private.
