Norman A. Freniere

1943 – 2019

SPRINGFIELD – Norman A. Freniere, 75, son of Alfred and Valeda (Goulet) Freniere, died Saturday evening surrounded by his loving family.  Norman was born and raised in Holyoke and had lived in Agawam for 21 years.  He started his career as a Chef at the Yankee Pedlar and had worked at Valle's Steak House, the Colosseum, the Holyoke House and J.P. Murray's, before retiring from the Log Cabin.  He leaves his wife of 23 years Theresa (Buteau) Freniere; two children Norman A. Freniere Jr. and wife Deborah and Donna Marie Freniere; step-son Scott and wife Tara; two brothers Ronnie and Joey and seven grandchildren: Leo, Amber and Zach Degon, Emily and Evan Hart, Faith Freniere and Jamie Green.  He was the loving uncle to his predeceased sister Judy's seven children, as well as other nieces and nephews.  Norman was also predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Freddie and Lionel.  Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday, Feb. 21st from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  A spring burial will be held in Paucatuck Cemetery.  For more details please visit curranjones.com
