Norman F. Lapine Jr.
1941 – 2013

Banning, CA – Norman F. Lapine Jr., formerly of Agawam, died May 23, 2013 surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with cancer. Norm was born in Springfield, September, 28, 1941 and lived in Agawam, graduating from Agawam High School, where he excelled in football. He was a member of the Mass. National Guard and the Elks Club in Banning, CA, where he lived for 3 plus years. After retiring from Northrup Grumman Aircraft, he opened his own Cabinet Shop and was a Master Cabinet Maker. He leaves his loving wife of 13 years Jeri (Chafey) Lapine, three children, Karen Roberts, Cindy Lapine and Robert Lapine; three stepchildren, Donna Rink, Larry Ilecki and Ken Conner; a sister Patricia LaBranche and her husband Ernie of West Springfield; a brother George and his wife Kathy of Phoenix; an aunt Dorothy Carpenter of Ware and an uncle Alphonse DelNegro of Agawam. He also leaves 14 grandchildren; a great grandson, his faithful watch dog Lucy and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Bernadette Rivet in 2012. A memorial service will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11:00am. For more details please visit curranjones.com.
