Normand Raymond Bergeron, age 87, passed into eternal life on February 7, 2020, surrounded by his family.  Norm was born in Fall River MA on September 22, 1932, and moved to West Springfield MA in 1972.  Norm served in the Korean War from January 1953 to December 1954, earning a bronze star, while serving with the 187 ^th Air Borne Regimental Combat Team in Japan.  Norm was the owner of N.R. Bergeron Drywall from 1975 until his retirement in 1991.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing and golfing.  He was a member of the Western Mass Birddog Club and Wyckoff Country Club.  Norm leaves his beloved wife of 63 years, Muriel Talbot Bergeron and their children, Jeffrey and his wife Barbara, Marc and his wife Suzanne, and Michele Cabral and her husband Brad, along with 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. His family would like to extend their deepest appreciation and gratitude to his loving caregivers at the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke.  The funeral will be held at Curran-Jones Funeral Home in West Springfield on Wednesday February 12 ^th starting with calling hours from 8:30 am to 10:30 am followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 11:00 AM. Burial at the St. Thomas Cemetery in West Springfield will follow the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke.
