Olida (Rossini) Cremonti

1918 – 2017

AGAWAM – Olida (Rossini) Cremonti, 99, died peacefully Monday surrounded by her loving family.  Olida was born in Springfield to the late Ruggierio and Rose (Aloisi) Rossini.  As a young child, she and her family, moved to Italy and they returned to West Springfield when Olida was 12 years old.  Olida was a graduate of Agawam High School and lived in Agawam most of her life.  She was formerly a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and had worked at the former Windmill Restaurant and Betty's in the Patch.   She was a member of the Deadline Gang in West Springfield, was an avid candlepin bowler with her late sister Fannie Cupidi and enjoyed watching the Red Sox, football and golf.  Her husband Frank J. Cremonti died in 1980.  She leaves two sons Raymond Cremonti and his partner Janet Davilli and David Cremonti and his wife Corinne; four grandchildren Anthony Cremonti and his wife Elizabeth Martins, Vincent Cremonti and his partner Jacqueline  Ingram, Nicholas Cremonti and his wife Monika Faber and Lena Cremonti and her partner Michael Drost and two great grandchildren Julianna and Logan.  Besides her husband, Olida was predeceased by her two sisters Fannie Cupidi and Olga Field.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 10:30am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral home service Friday from 9:30 – 10:30am.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.
