Olivia M. (Gonsalves) Barkman, 77, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 16, 2025.  Born in Holden, daughter of the late Manuel and Clara (Gates) Gonsalves, she grew up in Barre and was a 1965 graduate of Barre High School.  She lived in Longmeadow before moving to Agawam in 1991.  Olivia had worked as a customer service representative at the former Zayre's and Ames Department Stores and also HomeGoods and Kohl's.  She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts.  She leaves two daughters and their husbands, Lisa A. and Michael Martin of Bridgeport, CT, Pamela I. and Ted Starkey of Medford, NY, three sisters and their husbands, Isabel and Richard Surrette of Litchfield, NH, Gloria and Allan LaCoe of Hilton Head, SC, Kathleen and Francis Carey of Agawam, four grandchildren, Spenser and his wife Hayley Martin, Sebastian Martin, Victoria Starkey, Olivia Ann Martin, a great-grandchild, Eleanor Martin and nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 9am from the Agawam Curran Jones Funeral Home, 745 Cooper Street followed by a Mass in St. John Church at 10. The burial will follow in Longmeadow Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 4-7pm.
