Parthena Walker

1960 – 2020

West Springfield – Parthena (Partalidis) Walker, 60, of Garden Street died peacefully Tuesday morning surrounded by her loving family.  Parthena was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, the daughter of the late Alexander and Raissa Partalidis.  She grew up in Holyoke and lived in South Hadley before moving to West Springfield 30 years ago.  Parthena worked at the former G. Fox, Filene's, and Macy's Department Store for over 30 years.  A long-time communicant of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Holyoke, she also was a member of the Holyoke Elk's Lodge #902.  She leaves her husband Christopher Walker; three children Christopher C. Walker, Anastasia B. Walker, and Marcus A. Walker; a sister Glyka Ioannidou and several nieces and nephews.  A private funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.  For more details and online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  In lieu of flowers donations  may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 410 Main Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
