Pasquale Rettura

1926 – 2017

West Springfield – Pasquale Rettura, 90, died peacefully Tuesday surrounded by his family.  Pasquale was born in Acquaro, vv, Italy, son of the late Vincenzo and Marianna (Cosentini) Rettura.  He grew up in Italy and served as a Medic in the Italian Army.  Pasquale emigrated to Australia in 1951 before coming to the United States in 1960 and settling in West Springfield in 1965.  He owned and operated Supreme Brass & Aluminum Castings, Inc. on Windsor Street in West Springfield for many years until his retirement in 1991.  He leaves his wife of 67 years Restiva (Salatino) Rettura; five children Marianna Cosentini, Vincenzo Rettura and his wife Judy, Domenico Rettura and his partner Donna Lubanski, Stella Kalamarakis and her husband Harry and Pasquale Rettura Jr. and his wife Deborah; seven grandchildren Sonya M. Hinckley and her husband Brett, Adriano G. Cosentini, Daniela R. Baker and her husband Everett, Alexandria R. and Vincenzo F. Rettura and Marcos A. and Zoe R. Kalamarakis; four great granddaughters Gabriela M. Cosentini, , Freya and Sovay Baker and Eva E. Hinckley.   He also leaves nieces and nephews from his late brother Matteo, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Gabriele and Maria Sangiuliano and their children, and many relatives in Italy and Australia.  Besides his parents, Pasquale was predeceased by his brothers Domenico and Matteo Rettura.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.
