Patricia R. (Goodwin) Amos, 89, entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2015 surrounded by her family at the Soldier's Home in Holyoke. Born in Holyoke, she was the daughter of the late William and Glennie (Warren) Goodwin. She lived in South Hadley, until she went into the United States Army from 1945 – 1946. She was a graduate of South Hadley High School. Patricia then moved to Holyoke in 1951 when she got married and lived there for most of her life. She had been a member of the United Methodist Church in South Hadley, and was on the advisory committee at the Soldiers Home for the bettement of the residents. She loved her cats and dogs. Her husband, Harry L. Amos died in 2011. She leaves son and his wife, Kenneth B. Amos and Patricia L. Hezik-Amos, a daughter, Sharon M. Amos all of Holyoke, a sister, Barbara A. Lupo of Plymouth, four grandchildren, Gregory J. Harper, Heather L. Amos, Alyssa R. Gillis, Sarah A. Amos and a great-grandson, John P. Gillis. She was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Drohan and Glennie Knight. The funeral will be Friday at 10am at the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street with burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7pm.
