August 26, 1943 – December 20, 2019
Patricia Ann (Laporte) Montesi, 76, died Friday evening surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born in Holyoke, daughter of Leo and Marie Laporte, she grew up in Willimansett, graduated from Holyoke Catholic High School, attended Eastman Dental School, and has lived in Feeding Hills for the past 52 years. She was a dental hygienist for Dr. Salem, Dr. Conlin and Dr. Cohen for many years. A communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills, she was a member of the Church Council. She was a Girl Scout leader and member of the Dental Hygienist Association. Patricia enjoyed watching Michelle and Marlo play soccer and softball in High School and College and Michael compete in the Special Olympics. She was into Arts & Crafts, Italian Cooking, traveling the world with her husband, the Red Sox and Bruins, watching her husband play hockey at Williston on Friday nights and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family at holidays and get togethers. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hall North and Hospice of Western/Central Mass for their care and compassion given. She leaves her husband Fred Montesi; three children Michael of Feeding Hills, Michelle Picher and her husband David of Tewksbury and Marlo Rosenkranz and her husband Barry of East Longmeadow; two brothers, Kenneth and his wife Claire, Leo Jr. and his wife Doreen; a sister-in-law Kathy Laporte; her cherished grandchildren Isabelle, Rachel and Emily Picher and Jack and Jeffery Rosenkranz and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her close friends Kirby and Judy Gearing and Sr. Maureen Charest. Besides her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her brothers Russell and Rod and sister-in-law Sheryl Laporte. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday at 9:00am with Liturgy in Sacred Heart Church at 10:00am followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.For more details please visit curranjones.com.
