Patricia Grace (Stevens) Rioux, 88, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 24, 2022. Pat was born in New Bedford, MA, daughter of Bradford and Adela (Smith) Stevens.  The family moved to Providence, RI when she was 4 years old and at the age of 8 the family settled in Springfield, MA. She graduated from Trade High School in Springfield and went to work soon after at Third National Bank, were she met her husband George and they were happily married 43 years. They moved to West Springfield in 1966 and once her children were older, she began working for the Town of West Springfield  Parks and Recreation Dept. as a swimming pool attendant , a job she truly loved for more than 20 years. Pat enjoyed working in her yard and maintaining a spotless home. She never felt comfortable behind the wheel of a car, but never hesitated to ride her bicycle wherever she needed to go. Her husband passed away in 2005. Pat leaves two sons, Raymond and Mark and Mark's wife Monique of Easthampton, Massachusetts and a daughter Renee Rioux-Wyatt of Mendenhall, Mississippi. She also leaves a brother, Warren Stevens of Warren, Ohio, three sisters, Arlene Mackie, of Springfield, Joan Travers of Bristolville, Ohio, Janet Brown of Wellington, Ohio, and 5 grandchildren. The family would like to thank the caring and dedicated staff of Day Brook Village Nursing Center in Holyoke, Massachusetts for the excellent care she received at the end of her life. The funeral will be Friday, February 4, 2022 at 11am at the West Springfield Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street with a private burial in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in Springfield. Calling hours will precede the service on Friday from 9:30 - 11am.
