Patricia (Cauley) Ross, 86, of 7 Canal Rd, Suffield, CT and formerly of West Dennis, MA passed away peacefully on 10/14/14, surrounded by her family. Born on 2/2//28 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of Dr. John H. Cauley and Katherine (Foley) Cauley. She graduated from Boston Latin School in 1945, earned her BA from Regis College in 1949 and later went on to complete a Masters in Education from Boston University and a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University. She volunteered countless hours for the Holyoke Hospital, the Holyoke Day Nursery, The Holyoke VNA, Holy Cross Church, as well as at the Marco Island Health Center. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends in Cape Cod and Marco Island, FL. She was a pro at knitting and needlepoint and was an avid tennis player until the age of 84. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Attorney John D. Ross, Jr. and her daughter, Cauleen Ross Kearney of Suffield, CT and her husband John Kearney, her son, John D. Ross III of South Hadley, MA, and 5 grandchildren: Kaitlin Ross, Molly Ross, Jake Ross, Brendan Kearney and Trish Kearney, as well as her dear sister, Kathryn Driscoll and her husband Barry of Milton, MA and several nieces and nephews. The funeral Mass will be Saturday in Sacred Heart Church, Springfield at 10 am. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home are Friday 4-7 pm.
