Paul
Bagian
May 12, 1929 – July 21, 2022
Paul Bagian, 93, beloved husband, father, brother and uncle passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on May 12, 1929 to the late Simon and Lousig (Kngoian) Bagian. Paul proudly served in the United States Air Force stationed in Korea. Upon discharge, he and his new bride relocated to the Springfield area, settling in West Springfield. Paul was the owner/operator of Main Refrigeration Service for many years. Paul loved traveling with family and friends, especially to the Rhode Island shore. On any given day, you might get a phone call saying, "Your mother and I are going for a ride." That meant, they were either going to try their luck at the casino or going for a ride to the beach! Paul was an avid story teller, he was happiest with a captive audience. Paul was predeceased by his wife of sixty-one years, Araxie (Mahakian) Bagian, also his brother, Armen Bagian. He is survived by three daughters, Luanne Miles, Paula Bagian (Zari), Lisa Bagian (Gregory) all of West Springfield, two sisters, Margaret Bagian Garibian of West Springfield, Alis Mary Bagian Poladian of Dearborn, MI, two step-grandchildren, Chelsea Leonce and Sherrest Gilbert, and many nieces, nephews and many dear cousins. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Renaissance Manor for the selfless care and compassion given to Paul. The funeral will be Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 12 noon at the West Springfield Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service on Tuesday from 10am – 12noon. The family kindly asks that all who attend all services please wear a protective mask.
