Obituary

Paul R. Dupuis, 67, passed away on June 18th at home. He was born in Springfield and grew up in West Springfield. Paul’s parents, Leo and Jeannette (Vachon) Dupuis, predeceased him. He worked for many years as a machinist for the American Saw Company. Paul enjoyed flea markets and collecting old toys. He also loved to go to ball games with his father when he was younger and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, he even went to a game last month, a Minnesota Vikings fan and a Boston Bruins fan, and also attended a game this year against Montreal. Paul leaves his sisters; Jeanne Shopey of Springfield and Joanne Cosgrove and her husband Dale of Westfield, along with his caregiver and guardian Desiree Hegedus of Westfield, along with several other nieces and nephews and their children. Paul also leaves behind the staff and housemates who were like his family these last 5 years at MHA in West Springfield. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother George Dupuis and sister Rosemarie Hegedus and her husband Paul. Calling Hours will be held SUNDAY from 1 to 3 PM at the WEST SPRINGFIELD CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 109 MAIN ST., W. SPFLD. All other services will be private and held at a later date.
