Peter J. Maynard, 74, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.  Born June of 1950 in Springfield, son of the late James and Aldina (DelMonte) Maynard, he moved to Agawam in the 1960's and was a 1968 graduate of Agawam High School.  Peter was the owner of Maynard Construction inc. which built many homes in the surrounding area.  He served in the army and fought in the Vietnam War.  Always the avid golfer, he had been on the golf commission at Agawam Country Club and was a long time member of Oak Ridge Country Club.  He spent his retirement years socializing over morning coffee and never went anywhere without his dog, Nemo.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Gina M. Williams in 2022, spouse to Quincy Williams of Agawam.  He leaves his three sons and their wives, Matthew J. and Pamela Maynard of Feeding Hills, Jeffrey P. and Zilda Maynard of Erie, CO, Joseph A. and Katherine Maynard of Newtown, CT. He also leaves behind his former wife, Deborah (Gingras) Maynard of Agawam, a brother, Paul Maynard of Agawam, a sister, Linda Nardone of Michigan, eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
