Petra Figueroa-Olivo

1926 – 2020

Springfield Petra Figueroa-Olivo, 94, died peacefully Sunday afternoon  in a local nursing home.  Petra was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she moved to New York City in 1948, returned to Puerto Rico before moving to Springfield in 2002.  She leaves her son Miguel A. Rivera; a brother Juan Figueroa-Olivo, her grandchildren Erika Medina, Ralph Rodriguez III, Monique Rivera, and Michael Rivera.  Petra was predeceased by her daughter Migdalia Rivera in 2010 and her grandson Kenny Rivera.  She also leaves many loving family and friends. Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home  Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00pm.  For more information and online condolences please visit curranjones.com .
