Philip A. Battista

Florida – Philip Andrew Battista, 36 died unexpectedly Monday in Florida.  Philip was born in White Plains, NY, the son of Philip and the late Margaret (Patuano) Battista.  He moved to West Springfield at a young age and was a 2004 graduate of Cathedral High School.  He then completed his academic career with an associate degree at HCC.  After his schooling, he moved to Florida in 2014. Philip was an avid collector of Star Wars memorabilia which he held dear to him his whole life.  He was known as a die-hard Giants and Yankees fan just like his father. Philip leaves his father Philip Battista; two children Dominic (9) and Isabella (4), a sister Gina Battista and his longtime girlfriend Gretchen Whitcomb.  Visiting hours will be Friday starting at 10:00am and concluding at 11:00am with a funeral home service at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home   Burial at the convenience of the family.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
