Bill or "Wild Bill" as he was called, graduated from West Side and upon high school graduation joined the Navy and served on the carrier USS Midway as a gunner and also as Military Police. He was very proud to have served and generally when you saw him, he was wearing his Navy baseball cap. Bill was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a longtime supporter of Ducks Unlimited. Also, a long- time member of the Dante Club, Bill played many years of racquetball there with friends. Bill's passion, however, was skiing and he skied as much as he could. He enjoyed golf and was a member of Shaker Country Club for years. He was the owner of Egan Extermination company for many many years and some knew him fondly as the "Bug Man." Bill coached baseball in his younger years and was very giving to numerous scholarships in the town. Many many happy years and memories were made with his family at their home on Cape Cod. Wild Bill was a great community member and very loving and giving to his family and friends and a memorial service will be held this summer. Dad will be truly missed.
