Phyllis J. Colburn

1931- 2017

WEST SPRINGFIELD - Phyllis J. (McConnell) Colburn, 85, died Wednesday in Keene Valley, NY.  Phyllis was born in Winchendon, went to Murdock High School and became a Registered Nurse after she completed her RN training at the Gardner Hospital. She was active at the Good Shepherd Church in West Springfield and loved to travel, play cards, do crossword puzzles and visit the casino. Her first husband was Charles W. Sauter Jr. died in 2009 and was predeceased by her 2 ^nd husband, John G. Colburn. She leaves two daughters Jane L. Sauter of Feeding Hills and Deborah M. Roberts of Saranac Lake, NY, three step children Jim and Bill Colburn and Cindy Colburn Masse, a sister T. Whitney of Ware, three grandchildren, Corey and Heather Roberts and Nikki Dubrey, two great grandchildren Piper and Kalli Dubrey and many nieces and nephews. A funeral home service will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Sunday at 4:00pm.  Visiting hours will be precede the service from 2:00 – 4:00pm.   For more details please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
