West Springfield – Phyllis T. (Bourbeau) Panza, 81, of Christopher Terrace died Thursday at home surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was born in Holyoke and has lived in West Springfield for the past 25 years. She was a Geriatric Nurse and worked at the Holyoke Geriatric Authority and Riverdale Gardens before her retirement. She also was the secretary and bookkeeper for her family's Recycling Business, Northeast Recycling. Her husband Eugene Panza died in 1990. She leaves her two sons Brian of Dallastown, PA and Jeffery of West Springfield and three daughters Cheryl "Cheri" Ferriter and her husband Kevin of West Springfield, Lori Kotrba and her husband John of Naperville, IL and Sandy Lewis of Tewksbury. She also leaves seven grandchildren Shamis White and her husband Kevin, Matthew Ferriter, Joseph Kotrba, Hannah Lewis, Victor Panza, Molly Lewis and Zachary Panza and five great grandchildren Cheyanne, Liam, Brayden, Eibhlinn and Declan. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 11:00am with Liturgy in St. Thomas the Apostle Church at noon followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
