Ralph E. Schmidt, 83, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 8, 2025 with his loving family by his side.  Ralph grew up in Cincinnati, OH, was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, retired as general manager for Crescent Cardboard in Lee, MA, and enjoyed spending time with his family.  After his retirement, he spent many wonderful years living on Cape Cod before returning to Western Mass.   He was predeceased by a brother, Frank Schmidt and a sister, Margaret Lubbe.  He leaves his loving wife of over sixty years, Gail (Nicholson) Schmidt, four daughters and their spouses, Karen and Paul Lentendre,  Kathy and Marty Green, Kellie and Chris Rich, Kristine and Kimberly Meunier, two brothers, Richard Schmidt of  North Carolina, Dennis and his wife Linda Schmidt of Indiana, two brothers-in-law and their wives who are local, Thomas and Linda Nicholson, and David and Linda Nicholson.  He was 'Grampy' to five grandchildren Sarah, Melissa, Cameron, Collin, and Kai and eight great-grandchildren.  All services are private and Curran Jones Funeral Home is in charge.  For online condolences, please visit www.curranjones.com
