Ramona T. (Connors) Smith, 89, died Thursday July 12 with her children by her bedside. Ramona was renowned for her humor, wit and Irish tenacity. Born in Springfield, she worked at several car dealerships including Fathers and Sons, Westfield Volkswagen and Enfield Ford. She attended Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, Westfield and received Cursillo (Nov 2000). Her husband Henry died in 1998. She leaves four children; Karen Scahill and her husband Thomas of Westfield, Henry Smith and his wife Terri of Holyoke, Noreen Fitzgerald and her husband Gerald of Springfield and Michael Smith and his wife Janice of West Springfield; nine grandchildren T.J., Maeghan, Ryan and Courtney Scahill, Kaitlin Cote, Jason and Jessica Fitzgerald and Camden and Bailey Smith and six great grandchildren. Friends are invited to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Westfield on Tuesday July 17 at 10:30am for the celebration of her Funeral Mass followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery, West Springfield.
