Raymond E.
Bienia Iii
August 16, 1996 – July 27, 2024
Raymond E. Bienia III, beloved son of Raymond II and Joanne (Larochelle), succumbed to his 15 year battle with mental illness and substance abuse on July 27, 2024 at the age of 27. Raymond suffered for so long, particularly the last couple of years and could no longer take the pain and misery. Raymond was a 2010 graduate of the Westover Young Marine Program and a 2014 graduate of West Springfield High School. He went on to get certificates in computer networking and cyber security from Porter and Chester Institute and Holyoke Community College. Raymond loved music, computers, fishing, movies, comedy shows, hiking and biking with his Mom and helping his Dad in the garden. But he really loved spending time at his parents property in Granville, he felt at peace there. Besides his parents, he leaves his brothers Samuel and Joseph, his maternal grandparents Emilien and Lise Larochelle of W. Spfld, his paternal grandmother Elissa Terrell of Kingston, MA along with many Aunts, Uncles and cousins who loved him very much. Raymond was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Raymond Bienia, his godmother Susan (Bienia) Leo as well as beloved German Shepherds, Hans and Hagen. Raymond's parents would like to thank their friends and family for their continued support over the years and all the professionals who crossed paths with Raymond and tried so hard to help him. Your efforts did not go unnoticed. A Funeral Service will be held SAT August 3, 2024 at 3 PM at the CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 109 MAIN ST., W. SPFLD. Calling Hours will be held SAT from 1 to 3 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Raymond's name to NAMI Western Mass (National Alliance for Mental Illness), 1221 Main St., Suite 100, Holyoke, MA 01040.
You can't heal the people you love.
You can't make choices for them.
You can't rescue them.
You can promise that they won't journey alone.
You can loan them your map, but this trip is theirs.
