Chicopee-Raymond H. Burke, Jr., 74, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015. He was born October 12, 1940 to the late Raymond H. Burke and Luna Piquette in Holyoke. He graduated from Chicopee High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He then worked as a Customer Service Manager at United Parcel Service until he retired at age 42. He was able to enjoy many years of traveling, antiquing, photography, and spending time with family. He was President of the Somers, CT Antique Bottle Club. He was a long-time member Faith United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, served as Church Historian, and was a member of the Senior Mens' Group. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy (McCray) Burke; his son Thomas Burke of West Springfield; his daughter Cathy Burnham and husband Brian of Southwick; his son David Burke and wife Debbie of Belchertown; his daughter Sarah Burke and husband Chris Rodkey of Beverly, MA; and his sister, Barbara Cubberly and her husband Lyle of Clinton, CT. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and five grandchildren: Christopher Burnham, Sadie Burnham, Jessica Burke, Liam Burke, and Brandon Rodkey. He was a kind and loyal friend to everyone he knew, and he loved his family more than words can say. The funeral service will be Thursday at 10 am in Faith United Methodist Church followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley are Wednesday 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
