WEST SPRINGFIELD – Richard Edward "RJ" Lapinski Jr. passed away on April 4, 2016 in Tarpon Springs, Florida. RJ was born and raised in West Springfield where he lived most of his life. He is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Layne (MacKechnie) Lapinski of Holiday, Florida, formerly from West Springfield his beloved dog Ceasar; three sisters Patricia Urena and her husband Mario of Springfield: Deborah Lapinski of West Springfield; Cynthia Babineau and her husband Michael of Pepperell; two nephews Mario Urena Jr and his fiance Michelle Kelly of Springfield; Christopher Babineau and his god daughter and niece Katie Babineau of Pepperell. He also leaves his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends both in Mass and Florida. He was predeceased by his grandmother Tessie Lapinski. He will be dearly missed by his family at Vision Ace Hardware in Tarpon Springs, Florida where he was employed as a certified gold Stihl mechanic. Previously he was a co-owner of L&L Property Services as well as former owner of Lapinski Farms. Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Sunday, April 24th from 4:00-7:00pm. Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Thomas the Apostle Church for the Funeral Liturgy Monday, April 25th at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.
