Richard O. Letendre

1973 – 2020

West Springfield Richard O'Neil Letendre, 47, of West Springfield passed away April 21,2020 at home. Richard went to West Springfield high school and attended college for corporate law. He worked at Valentine Plating and Stop n Shop warehouse before becoming disabled. He was a man who lived each day to the fullest. He was kind, loving, caring and gave so much to many. He loved conversing with his son Nikko regularly and to the many friends he had. He  loved music, electric guitars and fast cars. He was a very talented guitar player in which he spent much time playing them and teaching his sons and grandson how to play. He leaves behind his sons, Derreck Carter and Nikko Letendre. Grandson Derreck Jr. His father Rene G Letendre Sr. siblings June M Rogers  and Rene G. Letendre Jr. Step sister Jennifer Degray Chaples. He was predeceased by his mother Edith Letendre Nov 2010 and his fiance Jennifer Lynn Velasquez in Sept 2017. Richard was unaware of the amount of people that cared for and loved him and He will be greatly missed.  Due to circumstances, the funeral will be held at a later date.  For those wishing, donations may be made to Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main St., West Springfield, MA 01089
