Richard W. Muller
1936 – 2016

West Springfield – Richard W. Muller of Craig Drive died peacefully Monday at home. Richard was born and raised in Old Lyme, CT, lived in Windsor Locks, CT for 20 years and West Springfield for the past 20 years. He graduated from the Ward School of Electronics and worked for the Southern New England Telephone Company for 30 years as a telecommunications Engineer until his retirement in 1993. He was a United States Air Force Korean War Veteran, who served mostly in Japan. Richard was a NASCAR fan, loved to cook and was a devoted runner. He leaves his three children Donald W. Muller, Linda Taylor and Stephen Muller; two brothers Charles and David Muller; a sister Alice Muller and three grandchildren Haley Renfro, Shane Renfro and Carrie Ann Muller. He was predeceased by a daughter Cheryl A. Muller in 1991. Visiting hours for Richard will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00pm and the burial will be held Friday at 11:00am in Duck River Cemetery in Old Lyme, CT.
