Rita T. (Sheridan) Coffey, 98, formerly of Day Street died peacefully Saturday at Heritage Hall Agawam surrounded by her loving family. Rita was born on Sprague Street in West Springfield and lived here all her life. Born on July 4 ^th Rita left this world on her favorite day of the year, St. Patrick's Day. Leaving family and friends with memories of her famous corned beef dinners. She was a 92 year communicant of the former Immaculate Conception Church and belonged to the Women's Club.  She is preceded by her late husband John F. Coffey who died in 1993.  She leaves two sons Thomas F. Coffey and J. Michael Coffey; a daughter Geraldine Grabowski all of West Springfield, nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday at 9:00 am followed by Liturgy in St. Thomas Church at 10:00 am with burial at St. Thomas Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7pm.
