Rita Nault

1933 – 2018

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Rita (Liberty) Nault, 85, passed away Monday at The Elaine Center in Hadley, MA. She was born on February 3, 1933 in Holyoke, MA to the late Albert and Aida (Senecal) Liberty.  She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Nault, who passed away in 2013.  She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church in West Springfield.  Rita was first and foremost a wife, mother, and grandmother, choosing to spend time with family above all else.  She also worked for many years as a librarian at American International College before retiring in the early 1990's.  She is survived by her three sons and their wives Gary and Lynn of Westfield, Glen and Kathie of West Springfield, and Don and Chris of Longmeadow.  She also leaves four sisters, Clair of Osprey, FL, Tillie of Chicopee, MA, Terry of Swansea, MA, and Elaine of Miami, FL.  Her younger brother Fred passed away in 2017.  Further left to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren, Tim, Chris, Greg, Stephanie, Tina, Dan, Kelly, and Kimberly and her three great grandchildren Cassidy, Conor and Everly.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral home followed by committal services in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral Monday from 11:00am – 12:00 noon.
