Rita Mae Nolan, 88 passed away on October 24, 2026. She was born in Springfield on Sept 1,1938 to the late Michael & Estelle Keane. Rita worked for many years as a server at Storrowton Tavern in West Springfield. An avid bingo player, she enjoyed going to the casino, the West Springfield Senior Center, and spending time with friends and family. She could talk to anyone and was liked by all who met her. Rita was a wonderful cook and would host large family Sunday dinners.

Rita was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Charles F. Nolan, her son Charles P. Nolan, and her daughter Pamela Nolan. She leaves her daughters; Cynthia Nolan of West Springfield, and Patricia Nolan and her husband James Narad of Daytona Beach, FL, her son Paul Nolan and his wife Beth of Ormond Beach, FL, her grandchildren Brian and Delia Nolan along with her sister Sandra Haskins and brother Steven Keane.

Her family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Vantage at West Springfield for caring for Rita with kindness and compassion as well as Harmony Hospice for their care.

A Celebration of Life will be held SUN Nov 8th at 2 PM at the Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main St. Burial will be private at a later date. A Calling Hour will be held from 1PM to 2PM.
