Robert P. Anderson

1935 – 2021

Agawam – Robert P. Anderson (A.K.A – Andy, Mr. Golf, Uncle Andy, Mr. G, or "G") died peacefully Thursday morning.  Andy was born in Springfield, son of the late C. Paul and Ruth Anderson, and has lived in Agawam most of his life.  He was a 1954 graduate of Agawam High School, where he excelled at sports.  He owned and operated Anderson & Raymond Supply Company in West Springfield for many years.  An avid golfer, he was a member of Oak Ridge Golf Club, the Springfield Country Club and Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic.  A few of the sayings that Andy lived his life around were "Make someone Happy" and "It's nice to be nice".  Besides a round of golf or enjoying a good cigar, Andy loved to be around friends, of which he had many.  He leaves his wife of 42 years Lynne (Flaskamper) Anderson; a daughter Noele Faccidomo and her husband Stephen; a grandson Anthony, several nieces, and nephews and many many dear friends.  Besides his parents, Andy was predeceased by his sister Janice Burne.  The funeral will be held at the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME Tuesday at 11:00am.  Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
