Robert S. Beach

1952 – 2019

West Springfield – Robert S. Beach, 66, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.  Bob was born and raised in Springfield and has lived in West Springfield for the past 40 years.  He served with the United States Army 82 ^nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War.  He worked as a machinist for Johnson Gage Company for many years and recently retired from UPS where he was a truck driver.  Paulette and Bob always had big hearts and opened their house to help raise many family members, including Rebecca and Andrew.  He was predeceased by his wife Paulette J. (Hartley) Beach in 2008.  He leaves his children Michael Fay, Bobby, Martin, Meko and Rebecca Beach, Laurie Reed, Kimberly Mleczko, Erica Chavez, and Michelle L. Spanilo; his siblings Donald and Jay Beach, Sue Phillips and Nancy Lemieux.  He also leaves fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at noon followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Tuesday morning prior to the funeral home service from 10:30am – Noon.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
