FEEDING HILLS- Robert Blanchet, 81, passed into eternal life on Thursday, January 30 ^th at Mercy Hospital. Robert was born in St Raphael Quebec Canada, came to Springfield in 1963 and moved to Feeding Hills in 1972. He was a very talented carpenter who owned Blanchet Construction working alongside his son. An avid outdoorsman, Bob loved gardening, hunting, fishing, making maple syrup and spending time at his camp with family and friends. His beloved wife Marie (Lapointe) Blanchet died in 2006. He leaves his son Norman Blanchet and his wife Mary of Southampton, Ma, his sister Therese and her husband Lucien Thibault of Quebec, Canada, his brother in law Aime Fradette of Springfield, several in-laws and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Auguste and Maria Blanchette, his brothers Maurice and Leonard Blanchette, his sisters Annette Aubin, Fredeline Tanguay and Marie Fradette. He also leaves his companion and friend Jeannine Carbonneau of Chicopee Ma. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday, February 6 ^th at 9:00 am with Liturgy in Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 am followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery.
