The world lost a wonderful man on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Robert J. Brennan, 72, passed away at Baystate Medical. He was born in Springfield on May 17, 1951 to the late Edward and Dorothy (Peterson) Brennan. Robert was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Coast Guard. Robert was a master carpenter and he built and renovated many homes in the Springfield area over the years. He was known for his attention to detail and fine finish work, a craft he took great pride in. Robert was an avid and loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots and enjoyed following his teams and studying their stats. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Robert leaves his wife Susan, his daughters: Melanie Conz of Foxboro, Marisa Brennan of Spfld, and Marsha Brennan of Spfld; his step sons: Kristopher Ciccarelli and Jonathan Ciccarelli; and his grandchildren: Andrew, Ciaran, Liam, Ronan, Nina, Celia and Dylan. He leaves his siblings: Stephen, Edward "Mike" and James "Terry" Brennan, Deborah Staples, Paul and John Brennan along with many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his sisters, Peggy Turner and Nancy Bousquet, and his brother, Tommy.  A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on 9/23/23 at 12 NOON at Pine Valley Plantation in Belchertown. Robert's burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Robert's name to the Shriners' Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Spfld, MA 01104.
