Obituary

Robert "Bobbi Mango" Chmura, a 40-year resident of Agawam, MA and 44-year employee of Baystate Medical Center, passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2023. Bobbi was a lifelong athlete. He religiously followed local college sports and attended Hartford Yard Goats games, once catching a home run ball. Bobbi was made famous on November 17, 2002, for his 180-yard hole in one on the 18 th hole using a 9-wood at Agawam Municipal Golf Course. Bob lived by the wise words of hero Mike Leach and was a super fan of both the NY Giants and free food. Most importantly, Bobbi Mango always had lots of kisses for all the little animals: Buffy, Oreo, Ruby, Lambic, Simba, Sukie, Sniffy, Caroline, Moose Patrick, and Shiloh. A Memorial Mass will be held in his honor on April 15, 2023, at 10am at Our Lady of the Lake Parish, 224 Sheep Pasture Rd, Southwick, MA. A celebration brunch will be held at the Saybrook Point Inn at a later date. If you wish to attend, please email RSVP by June 14 to BobbiMangoMemorial@gmail.com . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bobbi Mango's name to the Niko Sierra Scholarship Fund. Checks can be mailed to "Paladin Wealth Partners, Attn: Alison Sierra, P.O. Box 15308, Tower Square, Springfield, MA 01115" or venmo @NSathleticscholarshipfund.
