Robert A. Cote, Sr.
1928-2014
SPRINGFIELD-Robert Aldor Cote Sr. 85, of Spfld. Ma, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Wingate East Longmeadow on Feb. 6th, 2014. He was the son of the late Aldor Cote and Rose (Yoo) Cote and was predeceased by his sister Evelyn Sampson. He leaves his wife of 65 years Florence (Russo) Cote, five children, Diana (Cote) Jarnot and her husband Joseph of Granby, CT, Robert Cote, Jr. of Spfld, MA , Cheryl (Cote) Sigler and her husband Danny of Spfld, MA, Sandy (Cote) Kenyon and her husband Jim of Feeding Hills, MA, and Randy Cote and his wife Linda of Enfield, CT. He also leaves nine grandchildren, Kellie, Joseph, Richard, Deejay, Danny, Meghan, Stacey, Nicole, and Jennifer, eleven great- grandchildren, three great great -grandchildren and several nieces and nephews He retired from the Teamsters 404 after 30 years as a truck driver for several local companies and Masonary for Pilon Construction. He was a veteran of WWII and a past member of John Boyle O'Reilly Club and American Legion. The funeral Mass will be Monday at 10 am in Sacred Heart Church, Agawam followed by committal services with Military Honors in the Mass Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the funeral on Monday at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home from 8:00 to 9:30 am.
