Feeding Hills – Robert P. Culverhouse, 90, formerly of South West Street died Tuesday in a local nursing home.  Bob was born and raised in Springfield, before moving to Agawam in 1950.  He retired from Hampden Bank in 1990 after many years and previously worked at the former Valley Bank.  He served in the United States Navy Reserve for 12 years.  A communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills, he also was a member of the Agawam Lions Club, past trustee for Hampden Bank and an avid fisherman.  His wife Rita A. (Shea) Culverhouse died in 1994.  He leaves two children Kevin Culverhouse, Eileen Zymroz, her husband Chet, and two grandchildren Christopher Zymroz and Amanda Metcalfe.  The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 9:30 with Liturgy in Sacred Heart Church at 11:00am followed by burial in Agawam Center Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held prior to the Mass Monday morning from 9:30 – 10:30am.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.
