Robert Gonet

1950 – 2018

West Springfield – Robert Gonet, 67, formerly of Myron Street died Sunday, April 29th in Holyoke Medical Center.  Robert was born and raised in Holyoke and lived in the Holyoke/South Hadley area most of his life. He was a retired mechanic and an avid fisherman. A phenomenal guitar player and huge fan of the Beatles, for many years Bob played guitar and sang in Great Britain, a local Beatles cover band. He was a wonderful cook, who loved to cook big dinners for family. Bob was a loving husband and father and very devoted grandfather. His wife Theresa (Walker) Gonet passed last December and his son Robert Gonet Jr. passed in February of this year. He leaves two daughters Wendy Pride and Cherrie Gonet; a stepdaughter Leila Hill; siblings Walter Gonet Jr., and Dorothy Jarry; six grandchildren Krystal, Desiree, Amber, Desmond, Alexis, Devon, Ariana and many great grandchildren. A private service for family and close friends will be held at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley followed by burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
