Robert L. Hastings, 90, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Springfield, son of the late Philip and Vivian (Hastings) Hastings, he grew up in Agawam and lived in Springfield for many years.  He also had lived in Venice, FL.  Robert was a truck driver, beginning with Carolina Freight and retiring, after thirty-eight years, with ABF Trucking. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 671 for over forty years, the Mt. Orthodox Lodge of Masons, and the Hadji Group in the Melha Shriners.  His wife, Gloria (Dery) Hastings, died in 2003.  He leaves a son, David Hastings of Springfield, two daughters, Sharon Godfrey of Kensington, CT, Deborah Wing of Feeding Hills, a sister, Vivian Hill of Wisconsin, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.  A private celebration of life will be held for the family.
