Robert G. King, 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, May 4, 2026. Born in Springfield, son of the late William G. and Mary R. (Mahoney) King, he was a 1957 graduate of Springfield Technical High School and moved to Agawam in 1975.  Robert had worked for Kaman Aircraft and was a dock supervisor for area trucking companies.  He was a member of the Westfield Sportsmen's Club, a NASCAR enthusiast, a snowmobiler and a Harley Davidson rider. He loved Corvettes and enjoyed riding in and driving his five Corvettes. Bob was also an animal lover who had five cats and two dogs.  He leaves his wife of fifty-eight years, Gloria E. (Garneau) King, a cousin, Patricia Drish of Dagsboro, DE and a number of special friends. Calling hours are Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street from 10am-12noon. Please come prepared to offer a personal story about Bob at 12noon after which time, he will be buried in Springfield Street Cemetery.
