Robert C. Klett, 82, died Sunday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Springfield, son of the late Helmut and Dorothy (Beauregard) Klett and grew up in the Hungry Hill section of Springfield. He was an exceptional athlete, playing hockey, soccer and baseball for Technical High School. He was a retired estimator for Advance Manufacturing. He leaves his wife of 42 years, Joyce (Phetteplace) Klett of West Springfield, six children Debra Baker of Granby, CT, Barbara Hoch of Vacaville, CA, Jeffrey Marcil of West Springfield, Michael Marcil of Salem, MA, Suzanne Grucci of Marco Island, FL and Kerri Hatcher Fickling of Macon, GA, two brothers Richard and Kenneth Klett and seven grandchildren. The calling hours will be Wednesday December 4 ^th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home. Funeral is private.
