Robert C. Kopinsky, 83, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Springfield, son of the late Frank and Rosalie (Yelinek) Kopinsky, he grew up in West Springfield and was a 1959 graduate of West Springfield High School.  He moved to Westfield in 2016.  Robert was a Commercial Heat Treater and worked for the former American Bosch, L&L Heat Treating, Solar Heat Treating, and U. S. Tsubaki.  He was a lifetime member of the Pioneer Valley Sportsman Club and belongs to the West Springfield Methodist Church.  He loved all New England sport teams, was an avid bare-bow archer and was state champion in 1973.  He leaves his wife of sixty-one and a half years, Cynthia M. (Verge) Kopinsky, a son, Stephen J. Kopinsky of Agawam, two daughters, Karen M. Carrens and her husband Cleve of Westfield, Lynn M. Kopinsky of Canton, CT, three grandchildren, Stephen J. Kopinsky, Jr., Jessica L. Kopinsky, Kristina M. Kopinsky and nieces and nephews.  Calling hours are Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 10 - 11am at Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street followed by a Funeral Home Service at 11.
