1946 – 2011

FEEDING HILLS – Robert L. Peritz, 65, of Brookline Avenue died Thursday in Baystate Medical Center. Bob was born in Springfield, grew up in Agawam, and lived in West Springfield for 26 years before returning to Agawam in 1999. He worked at Titeflex Corporation for 42 years before taking disability in 2007. He was a member of the West Springfield/Agawam Elks Club, an avid ten-pin bowler and pitch player and also volunteered as a caller for the Immaculate Conception Bingo. Bob was active with both Cub and Boy Scouts and for many years served as a leader for many troops. He leaves his wife of 37 years Beverly A. (Daigneault) Peritz; a son Robert A. Peritz and his girlfriend Bridget of West Springfield; a granddaughter Elkie McGurn; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Stanley Peritz. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday, April 4, 2011 at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church at 10:00am followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery.
