Robert Jesse Swimm, 75, passed away unexpectedly on October 6th, 2018.  Born in Mars Hill, Maine, he was the son of the late Jesse and Beulah Swimm. Robert joined the US Airforce in 1961 and served as a Crew Chief and KC-135 aircraft mechanic at Westover Airforce Base until 1965.  After an honorable discharge from the military, he spent over 30 years employed by UPS until his retirement. "Bob/Buck" as he was called by his family and friends, enjoyed golf, country music and the New York Yankees.  He was also passionate about gardening and attending to his fish pond.  Bob was the beloved husband of over 50 years to Judith Swimm; a loving and devoted father to Jamie Swimm of Three rivers, Craig Swimm-married to Sigrun Swimm of Ludlow and the cherished grandfather of Sonja Swimm, Ludlow. He was the 2 ^nd to the youngest of 17 siblings and is survived by Paul, Glenn and Ruth, of Aroostook CountyMaine.  He leaves behind many extended family and friends in Massachusetts and Maine. Funeral services and burial will be held privately at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
