Roger A. Nelson, 94, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 28, 2026 in Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Proctor, VT, son of the late Eni and Christina (Knudsen) Nelson, he worked in construction for Daniel O'Connell Construction for many years.  He was a member of the Shriners, a Marine Veteran of the Korean War, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.  He was predeceased by his wife, Jean (White) Nelson.  He leaves two sons, Larry Nelson and Robert Nelson, both of Chicopee, a grandson, Anthony Nelson of Somers, CT, three granddaughters, Sara Riddles of Ludlow, Aleyda Nelson and Yvette Nelson both of Chicopee, and six great-grandchildren. Calling hours are Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 8-9am at Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 9.
