FEEDING HILLS – Roland F. Cormier, 63, of Kellogg Avenue died Sunday at home. Roland was born in Montpelier, VT the son of the late Emillien and Winifred (Fisk) Cormier. He grew up in Vermont, and lived in Springfield briefly before moving to Feeding Hills 40 years ago. He owned and operated R.C. Designers working in the construction industry as an architectural designer. Roland served during the Vietnam War with the United States Coast Guard. He leaves his wife of 43 years Diane (Chamberlain) Cormier; two sons David M. and his wife Sira of Bedford, Darren M. of Arlington; a daughter Meredith A. Parker and her husband Michael of Boston; two brothers Russell Cormier and Philip Cormier and his wife Betty and a sister Elizabeth. He also leaves three grandchildren Alexis Marie, Gregory David and Gemma Marie; his brothers-in-law Paul Chamberlain and his wife Cathy, Leon Chamberlain and his wife Linda, Thomas Chamberlain and his wife Rena and Mark Chamberlain and his wife Susan and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 11:00am with private burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday (today) from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 54C Wayside Ave., W.Spfld., MA 01089.
