Roland A. Pardee, 70, died Sunday at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Pittsfield, son of the late Arthur and Florence (Robinson) Pardee, grew up in West Springfield and lived in East Longmeadow for 30 years before moving to Springfield six years ago. He worked as a professional truck driver. He served in the U. S. Army. Roland was a Past Master of the Brigham Masonic Lodge in Ludlow; Past Patron of the Corona Chapter of East Longmeadow; Past Watchman of Shepherds of the Rugged Cross Shrine of Boscawen, NH and Past MOT and Past District State Director of Mass NCT. He was a member of the East Longmeadow United Methodist Church. He leaves his wife Ruth (Mackintire) Pardee, daughter Aimee Pardee, son Jason Pardee, all of Springfield, brother William Pardee of W. Warwick, RI, sister-in-law Ann Fitzmaurice of RI, several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Thursday October 11 ^th at 6:00 pm at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home. Calling hours will precede the service on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
