Roman Lozyniak

1957 – 2021

West Springfield – Roman Lozyniak, 63, died peacefully Tuesday morning in Hartford Hospital.  Roman was born in Nowa Sol, Zielona Gora, Poland and came to the United States in 1960. He grew up in Stamford, Ct.  He and his wife owned and operated the Aspen Leaf Lodge, a Travel Lodge in Salida, CO for many years until his retirement in 2012.  He retired to Florida and recently moved to Connecticut.  Roman enjoyed playing guitar, lounging poolside, and cooking green chili. He loved music and powder skiing and passed many of these loves on to his children. His wife Jeanne (Richt) Lozyniak died in 2018.  He leaves two children Christopher A. and Katherine E. Lozyniak; a grandson Aaron; two brothers Stefan and Andy Lozyniak; and three sisters Maria MacFarlane, Olga Lozyniak and Halina "Holly" McKee.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 2:00 pm with visiting hours prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00pm.
