Ronald F. Venne Jr.

1953 – 2024

Chicopee – Ronald F. Venne Jr., 70, died unexpectedly Friday morning in Warren, MA.  Ronald was born in Northampton, the son of the late Ronald F. Venne Sr. and Virginia (McGuire) Venne.  He grew up in Easthampton, graduating from Easthampton High School and then UMASS Amherst. Ron was a builder who enjoyed constructing and renovating homes, especially for friends and family in need. He was a lifelong learner, who most recently taught himself how to sail and sailed the Mediterranean for his 70th birthday. Ron enjoyed challenging himself throughout his life, whether on the ice playing hockey, on a pickle ball court, or by getting his pilot's license in record time. He leaves behind his son, Jonathan and his wife Arielle, a daughter Lindsey McGrath and her husband Dave; his devoted and loving partner Loni DeMarco; his sisters Sherry Grabon, Kathy Venne Laprade, and Jody Pomper; and four grandchildren. Ron will be remembered as a fearless and compassionate man who was always ready to help anyone in their time of need.  A private funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home.
