Attleboro – Rosalina V. Lonzo, 89, of Oakhill Avenue passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Golden Living Center, Attleboro. She was the loving wife of the late Arthur E. Lonzo who died in 1998. They would have celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on October 27. Born March 15, 1926 in West Springfield, she was a daughter of the late Raffaele and Rosalina (Calabrese) Albanese. Rosalina lived most of her life in West Springfield before moving to Attleboro 20 years ago. She was a devoted homemaker and a great cook, especially cooking Italian food. She truly loved to watch game shows on television and enjoyed word search puzzles. She volunteered at the Hockomock YMCA in North Attleboro watching little children in the Mouseketeer Room for many years. She was given an award by the YMCA for over 500 hours of volunteer service in 2004. Rosalina is survived by three children: Robert J. Lonzo of Chesterfield, MI, Charlotte A. Bartlett of Thermopolis, WY and Arthur E. Lonzo of Attleboro; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Edmund A. Lonzo and her brothers: Anthony Albanese and Pasquale Albanese, and sisters: Carmella Deleva, Josephine Ferrarrini, Mary Albanese, Jennie Albanese, Dolly Cross, Ann Cebula and Helen Albanese. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 1 from 3-7 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 2 from 3-7 in the Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 3 at the Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield at 10 am. Burial to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield.
